Disabling solaris10 local zones after a reboot

Posted in Solaris at 11:25 am by alessiodini

On this system i have many local zones , 9 exactly.
If i want disable them after a reboot i have two ways:

– set autoboot to false for every local zone
– disable zones boot through SMF

with SMF i can manage “svc:/system/zones:default” manifest , it’s very simple!
If i disable it , all local zones will be stopped immediatelly and permanently.
If i enable it , every local zone with autoboot at true will be started and enabled permanently!

so , for shutdown and disable all local zones i must use:

svcadm disable svc:/system/zones:default

for start and enable all local zones i must use:

svcadm enable svc:/system/zones:default
