How to update SUNW.HAStoragePlus with multiple file system on Sun Cluster 3.2

Posted in Sun Cluster at 3:39 pm by alessiodini

On this cluster i have different resources.
One of them is oracle-hastp , it contains four HA filesystem:

root@regmanmi-01 # clrs show -v oracle-hastp | grep Mount
FilesystemMountPoints: /opt/oracle /db /db2 /db3

I must add another two filesystem , /db4 and /db5
The activity is:

– create VxVM volumes ( where the diskgroup is imported )
– resync diskgroup with Sun Cluster ( manually or using clsetup )
– update /etc/vfstab ( on all cluster nodes )
– create mount point ( on all cluster nodes )
– try to mount manually the filesystem

After these five steps i’m ready for add the filesystem to oracle-hastp resource!!
This is my first time on SC 3.2 and after reading clrs man page i ran the follow command:

# clrs set -g oracle-rg -p FilesystemMountPoints=”/opt/oracle,/db,/db2,/db3,/db4,/db5″ oracle-hastp

Then I verified the filesystem with df command:

# df -h | grep db
/dev/vx/dsk/oracle-dg/db2vol 39G 25G 14G 66% /db2
/dev/vx/dsk/oracle-dg/db3vol 39G 27G 12G 71% /db3
/dev/vx/dsk/oracle-dg/db 176G 167G 7.8G 96% /db
/dev/vx/dsk/oracle-dg/db5vol 15G 15M 15G 1% /db5
/dev/vx/dsk/oracle-dg/db4vol 15G 15M 15G 1% /db4
