Solaris 10 SNMP : sma manifest still disabled after activation

Today i encountered a curious problem: trying ‘svcadm enable sma’ i saw that manifest still disabled!
I asked to myself “why? With svcs -xv i don’t see it… what’s happening :)”

Looking the log of that manifest i found this error:

snmpd disabled by config file /etc/sma/snmp/snmpd.conf

So , i changed “DISABLED” entry in /etc/sma/snmp/snmpd.conf configuration file.

After i tried again to enable the manifest , this time i did it successfully 🙂
